Drop Deadlift Gorgeous is a charity deadlift event where athletes, first-time lifters, volunteers, and spectators come together to raise money for trans+ and gender-expansive communities across the Midwest. At a time when trans+ people - especially young athletes - are being excluded from sports in many parts of the country, we're choosing to build something else: a joyful, welcoming event that raises real dollars for organizations doing vital work in our communities. For one day, strangers become teammates. First-time lifters stand beside seasoned powerlifters. Volunteers, local businesses, and nonprofits come together to build the kind of sports community we all deserve—one where trans+ people are safe, celebrated, and fully belong. Every lifter raises money, but they also send a message: Trans+ people belong in sports. Free and open to the community, with opportunities to help meet our $100,000 fundraising goal for trans+ community organizations
